So many small steps to be thankful for. Jim is settling down in his new room after a couple of days of anxiousness and discomfort. And last night slept 8 hours. That is by far the longest period of restful sleep he has had in a month. He is continuing to mumble and try to communicate with us. Over the past two days he is able to bring himself to a sitting position and wants to stand up. We are having a hard time keeping up with his new active level. His right side is beginning to wiggle more and he has made several deliberate moves with his right hand and foot. YEAH! Even though we are not 100% sure several of us think he can read or a least know the words mean something. He concentrates on the notes in the cards (scrunching his forehead) and has held the newspaper flipping the pages and turning it right side up. He seems to be very aware. Thank you for continuing to pray for recovery and abilities to continue improving.

Jim's family is continuing to be with him around the clock. Since he is so strong (physically and willed) we are staying with him so that he isn't able to hurt himself by getting up or taking out his peg (feeding tub). We are quickly learning to sleep when you have the chance and let others help. In a few more days as he settles into a routine of therapy and sleep we will be excited to have you come by to visit us or sit with Jim. We know that you are praying for our strength during this time and are thankful for the answered prayers.

  1. I am lifting Jim up in prayer and also praying for the peace and comfort for the rest of the family. God's blessings, Lloyd
